This Evangelion Unit-01, created by sculptor Shinobu Matsumura, was originally released as a garage kit during the broadcast of the TV anime, "Neon Genesis Evangelion." It is a masterpiece packed with various elements, including a bold biological interpretation while respecting the original design, and an Angel base that's meticulously crafted without sacrificing muscle expression or detail.
For this plastic kit, the original model was converted into 3D data and resized to approximately 230mm in height, and further refined by Shinobu Matsumura himself. It includes a hand holding a progressive knife, with the armor removed, exposing the pectoral muscles.
This well-received product, reborn as a plastic kit, is now being reproduced in this milestone year, marking the 30th anniversary of Evangelion!
